Job summary

University of North Texas System Administration is hiring a Benefits Advisor to administer benefits, leave programs, and retirement plans, reporting to the Benefits Manager. You will coordinate with campus stakeholders, ensure plan compliance, and deliver excellent customer service.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field with relevant HR experience, strong communication, and analytic skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Organizational Development, Business Administration or related field with 2 years of HR or related experience.
• Knowledge of employee benefit, retirement and leave programs, and related laws/regulations.
• Ability to explain policies, maintain confidentiality, and develop HR processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison for institutional insurance programs (health, dental, disability, life, FSA) and ensure plan compliance.
• Administer employee leave programs including FMLA and sick leave pools.
• Coordinate retirement and savings plans, provide guidance on leave, retirement, and insurance issues.
• Monitor benefits and leave program compliance and perform audits for accuracy in payroll systems.
• Analyze data to identify trends and prepare end-user reports on leave and benefit utilization.
• Engage with external vendors for compliance and record-keeping services.
• Develop and deliver training on benefits programs and policies.
• Participate in HR initiatives, advising on policies and communications for benefits.
