Job summary

Bristol Community College in Fall River, MA is seeking a Staff Associate to specialize in benefits, leave and accommodations. This full-time role reports to the Director of Employee Experience and operates onsite Monday–Friday, with a salary range of $65,742.40 to $69,071.66 depending on qualifications.

Responsibilities include FMLA/PFML, accommodations, workers' compensation, retirement programs, and maintaining confidential employee records.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma.
• Minimum of three years’ HR experience handling leaves and benefits.
• Experience with FMLA, PFML, ADA and related laws.
• Proficiency with project management software (Asana, Monday.com, HubSpot).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for leaves of absence, benefits, accommodations and workers' compensation.
• Administer FMLA/PFML and other leave processes; coordinate return-to-work.
• Maintain confidential employee records and update policies and communications.
• Provide guidance and training to employees, managers, vendors, and state agencies.
• Coordinate orientations, open enrollment and wellness programs.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state/local laws.
• Maintain benefits files and payroll records.
• Assist with data transfers and communications as needed.
