Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a strategic Manager, Benefits to lead health, welfare, wellness, and related programs for Team Members and families. You will develop benefit strategy, oversee administration, vendor relationships, compliance, and communications, aligning programs with company goals.

Success requires building partnerships, coaching the Benefits Team, leveraging data to improve value, and delivering clear benefits education to employees at the Phoenix campus.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in employee benefits, health and welfare administration, wellness programs, or related HR functions.
• 5+ years of leadership experience developing professionals and leading benefits or HR service teams.
• Strong understanding of benefit regulations (ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Company's benefits leader, aligning benefits priorities with HR's mission, Company goals, and Team Member needs.
• Develop, coach, and lead the Benefits Team by building expertise, promoting accountability, and delivering accurate, timely service.
• Oversee the design, administration, communication, and ongoing management of health, welfare, disability, life insurance, wellness, and other benefit programs.
• Evaluate benefit programs, costs, utilization, participation, and data to identify opportunities and improve value and effectiveness.
• Lead annual enrollment and benefit communications and education efforts to help Team Members understand their benefits.
