Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Benefits Coordinator to support administration of employee benefit programs, assist with enrollment, and maintain eligibility in UKG. The role requires meticulous organization and the ability to work with payroll and benefits teams.

This non-remote position entails overtime, occasional travel to other SpaceX sites, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of administrative experience (internship qualifies).
• 2+ years of experience in employee benefits or human resources.
• Experience with UKG or other HRIS system.
• Ability to use independent judgment and prioritize work.
• Effective verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Highly collaborative style and strong team orientation.
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple high-priorities in a fast-paced, loosely structured environment.
• Ability to consistently meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Provide support with administration of employee benefit programs, such as medical, dental, vision, life, accident and disability insurance, and retirement plans, including new hire orientation and annual benefits open enrollment
• Assist, advise, and counsel employees on day-to-day benefit-related questions (via email, phone, walk-ups, and drop-in sessions)
• Maintain integrity of eligibility enrollments within UKG
• Partner with our payroll department to ensure accuracy of benefit deductions
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned including but not limited to: Employee perks administration, employee services, and company wellness initiatives; Relocation administration; Commuter benefits administration; Onsite medical and dental clinics
