Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill is seeking an energetic HR Benefits Supervisor to lead our HR Benefits team and support our mission, which emphasizes diversity, integrity and responsibility. You will oversee medical, dental, vision, life and retirement benefit administration, while ensuring accurate enrollments and regulatory compliance.

The role requires supervisory experience, strong knowledge of ERISA/COBRA/ACA, and proficiency with HRIS and benefits systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR preferred.
• 1–2 years HR/ benefits admin experience preferred.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership required.
• Strong knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA and related regs.
• Experience with HRIS and benefits systems required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee administration of medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, FSA, HSA, and COBRA.
• Process benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations accurately and timely.
• Coordinate annual Open Enrollment with communications, system prep, enrollment support.
• Ensure compliance with ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, and Section 125.
• Supervise HR Benefit Specialists and HR Receptionist staff.
• Develop procedures, training materials, and customer service standards.
• Track metrics on benefits administration, inquiries, case resolution, and team performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and employee experience.
