Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or public administration (or related field) plus three years of professional experience in accounting, auditing, budgeting, human resources, or administrative work.
  • Master's degree can substitute for one year of required experience; professional experience can substitute for college education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with administration of all benefits and retirement programs (medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, FRS Pension and Investment plans).
  • Respond to questions about benefits and retirement for legislators, employees, and agency staff.
  • Coordinate with Finance on journal transfers, refunds, and vouchering warrants for premium and retirement payments.
  • Input data into the legislative HCM system and maintain confidential personnel records.
  • Assist in policy development and changes to personnel procedures.
