Comunilife Inc. is seeking a Benefits and Entitlement Specialist for its Bronx Residence and nearby sites in Brooklyn. The role ensures clients obtain and maintain entitlements such as Medicaid, Food Stamps, Social Security, and related supports.

Travel within Bronx/Brooklyn is required and the position offers a salaried role with benefits and paid time off. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field and at least two years of benefits experience, with bilingual

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Education or a related field.
• Two years’ experience in benefits and entitlements with knowledge of community resources.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus; HIV/AIDS and related populations experience a plus.

Responsabilités

• Conduct needs assessments.
• Schedule appointments.
• Assist clients in acquiring and locating necessary documentation.
• Accompany clients on appointments, providing advocacy and referrals and assisting with the application process.
• Work collaboratively in an inter-disciplinary team to ensure comprehensive, client-centered services are delivered and documented.

Comunilife Inc. is looking for a Benefits and Entitlement Specialist for its Bronx Residence. The La Central Benefit Entitlement Specialist is responsible for ensuring clients have and maintain entitlements Benefits that may be needed include: Public Assistance, Medicaid, Food Stamps, Social Security Supplement Income/ Disability Insurance, Veteran’s Benefits and related support. This position is eligible for Comunilife's generous benefits and paid time off package and it is salaried up to $55,000 a year. The program sites are located in the Bronx and Brooklyn boroughs.
