Job summary

The State of Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES) invites applications for the Benefits and Eligibility Manager in the Surprise Field Office. This on-site role oversees daily operations determining NA/CA/MA/TANF eligibility under Federal and State rules.

You will lead a team and coordinate with regional offices to meet performance goals. Ideal candidates bring leadership experience in a field office, eligibility determination expertise, and a track record of staff development and policy

Qualifications

• Two years of leadership or supervisor experience in a field office.
• At least two years of Division of Benefits and Medical Eligibility, Family Assistance Administration eligibility determination experience.
• Ability to manage and lead diverse staff.

Responsibilities

• Reviews productivity and quality to meet local office priorities.
• Oversees performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Develops and implements local office procedures.
• Responds to correspondence and sets program goals.
• Engages with community groups to maintain relationships.
