The City of Raleigh Human Resources department is seeking a Benefits Coordinator for the Human Resources Department to support our high-functioning and innovative Benefits and Wellness Team. This position serves as a trusted resource for employees, answering questions, maintaining accurate benefits records, coordinating with vendors and brokers, and ensuring benefits are administered accurately and efficiently. The role also supports benefits audits, new program implementation, and employee communications while delivering engaging benefits presentations to new employees.
This permanent part-time position will work 30 hours per week, contribute to the LGER's retirement system, and be eligible for health benefits. After the initial training period, the employee is eligible to telework up to 40% of the work week.

We seek someone who will drive engagement in and understanding of our benefits plans, help us improve processes and communication, and assist our department in developing benefits packages that support the City in attracting and retaining talented public servants.
This position requires an experienced and highly motivated Human Resources professional with an understanding of the function and role that employee benefits play in recruiting and retaining talent. The successful candidate will be a benefits subject matter expert who can work independently and collaboratively on a wide range of benefits program and administration assignments. You will be part of a cohesive team, working as one team to meet the demanding needs of our organization. We seek a creative, well-rounded teammate who will be an integral part of the continued success and growth of the organization.
Associate's Degree or 2 Years of College in Human Resources, Business, Public Administration, or related field; 1 to 3 years' experience in human resources support, or a related field
