Job summary

Carroll Insurance Agency Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented Benefits Associate to support enrollment technology, reporting, billing, and policy maintenance on our Health & Benefits team.

You will build and maintain ENAV, manage enrollment activity, coordinate EDI/API connections, and contribute to Medicare compliance while ensuring accurate client data.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and multiple tech platforms.
• Possession or willingness to obtain Life & Health license.
• Experience in employee benefits, insurance, HR admin, billing, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ENAV for new clients, Open Enrollment, and benefit changes.
• Manage enrollment activity: employee additions, terminations, and QLEs.
• Review carrier discrepancy reports and work with carriers to resolve issues.
• Coordinate and maintain EDI/API and 834 carrier connections.
• Perform billing audits and prepare client reports.
• Assist with Medicare compliance and 1094 reporting.
• Collect census data and HB2015 requirements.
• Maintain documentation in Applied Epic.
• Collaborate with Account Managers, carriers, and clients to keep data accurate.

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Benefits Associate to join our Health & Benefits team. This role provides technical and administrative support with a focus on enrollment technology, carrier connectivity, reporting, billing reconciliation, compliance, and policy maintenance.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

· Build and maintain Employee Navigator (ENAV) for new clients, Open Enrollment, and benefit changes.

· Manage enrollment activity, including employee additions, terminations, and Qualifying Life Events (QLEs).

· Review carrier discrepancy reports and work with carriers and internal team members to research and resolve issues.

· Coordinate and maintain EDI/API and 834 carrier connections.

· Perform billing audits and prepare billing discrepancy, deduction, enrollment, and other client reports.

· Assist with Medicare compliance and 1094 reporting.

· Collect census, HB2015, and other required client information.

· Maintain activities and documentation within Applied Epic.

· Work closely with Account Managers, carriers, clients, and other Benefits team members to keep enrollment and policy information accurate and up to date.

Qualifications

· Life & Health insurance license preferred or willingness to obtain.

· Excellent organization and follow-through.

· Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and multiple technology platforms.

· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to research discrepancies through resolution.

· Professional written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

· Previous employee benefits, insurance, HR administration, billing, or related experience preferred.

· Employee Navigator and/or Applied Epic experience is a plus.

· Experience with EDI/API/834 carrier connections is a plus.
