Job summary

Carroll-Insurance-Agency is seeking a detail-oriented Benefits Associate to join our Health & Benefits team in Houston, TX. You will provide technical and administrative support focusing on enrollment technology, carrier connectivity, reporting, and policy maintenance.

Responsibilities include building and maintaining Employee Navigator for Open Enrollment, managing enrollments and QLEs, reviewing carrier discrepancies, and ensuring accurate enrollment data across Applied Epic and related

Qualifications

  • Life & Health insurance license preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Excellent organization and follow-through.
  • Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and multiple technology platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to research discrepancies through resolution.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous employee benefits, insurance, HR administration, billing, or related experience preferred.
  • Employee Navigator and/or Applied Epic experience is a plus.
  • Experience with EDI/API/834 carrier connections is a plus.

  • Review carrier discrepancy reports and work with carriers and internal teams to resolve issues.
  • Coordinate and maintain EDI/API and 834 carrier connections.
  • Perform billing audits and prepare billing discrepancy, deduction, enrollment, and client reports.
  • Assist with Medicare compliance and 1094 reporting.
  • Collect census, HB2015, and other required client information.
  • Maintain activities and documentation within Applied Epic.
  • Work with Account Managers, carriers, clients, and Benefits team to keep enrollment data accurate.

Requirements
