Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a Benefits Specialist to design, administer, and continuously improve employee benefits programs across health, welfare, and retirement plans. You will manage enrollment, vendor coordination, and regulatory compliance, while educating employees on offerings and open enrollment processes.

The role involves collaboration with brokers, carriers, and HRIS partners to ensure accurate data, reporting, and streamlined administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR/Business/Healthcare Administration or related field.
• 5+ years in benefits administration.
• Experience with level-funded and self-funded health and welfare plans.
• Certifications such as CEBS/GBA/CBP/SHRM-CP/PHR preferred.
• Strong knowledge of benefits laws and regulations.
• Proficient in HRIS and benefits administration software.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities; detail-oriented with data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage health, dental, vision, retirement, and other benefits programs.
• Oversee open enrollment, life events, COBRA processing, and enrollments.
• Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA, ADA and related regs.
• Educate employees on benefits options and changes; respond to inquiries.
• Collaborate with providers, brokers, and HRIS vendors for smooth administration.
• Process and resolve claims, invoices, and billing discrepancies with brokers/carriers.
• Audit data, reconcile payroll deductions, and prepare usage/cost reports.
• Administer FMLA/ADA/USERRA and leave policies; support wellness initiatives.
