Job summary

Fairview Health Services in Minnesota seeks a Benefit Analyst to perform financial analysis, data reporting, benefit plan auditing, and compliance activities for health, dental, life and voluntary benefits. The role handles problem resolution and appeals, Open Enrollment coordination, and employee communications.

Responsibilities include ensuring documents are accurate, testing enrollment systems, and presenting benefits information to staff.

Qualifications

• B.S./B.A. in human resources, finance, business or related field.
• 3 years healthcare benefits experience.
• Strong analytical and technical skills.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into operational processes.
• Knowledge and experience in ERISA, PPACA regulatory compliance, Summary Plan Descriptions, Plan Documents and Non-Discrimination Testing to ensure compliance with various regulations.
• Organization, communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• First level problem/claim resolution and appeals with communication and tracking through Webadmin.
• Coordinate Open Enrollment for Fairview and Ebenezer employees and test online enrollment site for accuracy.
• Present benefits information to new and existing employees and assist with communications.
• Work with vendors and ensure Plan Documents, Service Contracts, and Summary Plan Descriptions are accurate and current.
