The program blends core cohort activities with department-specific projects, offering real-world work that impacts clients, the business, and associates. You’ll split time between in-office collaboration and one day work-from-home, with exposure to risk, market dynamics, and client service best practices.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management and Insurance.
• Interest in insurance-related roles; involvement in insurance clubs or Gamma Iota Sigma.
• Students anticipated to graduate in Spring 2027, December 2027, or Spring 2028.
• Previous work or internship experience in a professional services or similar environment.
• An entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to problem-solve, think critically, and provide creative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Gain a firsthand look at our company, the employee benefits industry, and how IMA partners with clients to solve challenges and deliver strategic solutions.
• Support data analytics by maintaining Excel spreadsheets, performing calculations, and interpreting trends to inform client deliverables and internal reporting.
• Support operational projects including benchmarking and client tracking.
• Create high-quality client materials—including summaries, presentations, and analysis packets—using strong professional communication and attention to detail.
• Exercise independent critical thinking to complete tasks with minimal instruction, determining appropriate next steps and ensuring efficient workflow.
• Gain exposure to core insurance functions by observing claims processes, partnering with the IMA EB team and participating in client and carrier meetings as appropriate.
• Represent the team at industry events and carrier meetings, building foundational knowledge of risk control, market dynamics, and client service best practices.
