Job summary

Melita is an HR, Benefits, and Payroll outsourcing company. The Benefits Analyst role on Melita's Benefits Analysis team blends hands-on client advisory work with financial and underwriting analysis, including renewal projections and plan design.

This hybrid position reports to the Director of Benefits Analysis and focuses on presenting recommendations to small and mid-sized business clients, coordinating with the Benefits Support team to ensure smooth renewals and open enrollment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a role involving small group benefits analysis and/or support.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Active Life/Accident and Health Producer license or ability to obtain within onboarding period.
• Solid grounding in benefits financial analysis: budget, claims projections, rate development.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and present proposals for a full range of benefit plans to SMB clients.
• Advise on plan design and employee contribution strategy.
• Lead renewal presentations and plan-change discussions with non-technical audiences.
• Build and run RFPs to carriers and partners and assemble renewal proposals.
