Job summary

Melita Group is seeking a Benefits Analyst to join the Benefits Analysis team. The role blends client advisory work with financial underwriting analysis—projecting renewal costs, evaluating carrier proposals, and modeling plan changes.

You will present clear recommendations to small and mid-sized business clients and report to the Director of Benefits Analysis. This is a hybrid, client-facing, non-sales position.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a role with small group benefits analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Active Life, Accident and Health Producer License or eligibility to obtain licensing.
• Strong proficiency with Excel; comfort with Salesforce and AI-enabled workflows.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for client decision-makers.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and present proposals for medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and voluntary benefits for small to mid-sized clients.
• Advise on benefits package design and contribution strategy aligned with client goals and budgets.
• Lead renewal presentations and plan-change discussions with non-technical audiences.
• Build and run RFPs to carriers and general agency partners and review quotes.
• Coordinate renewal-to-open enrollment handoffs with benefits support teams.
