Job summary

Midland Health is seeking a Benefits Analyst to assist in administering and communicating benefit programs including medical, pharmacy, retirement plans, and compliance tasks. The role involves maintaining benefit files, supporting employees, and overseeing enrollment events with a focus on accuracy and timely communication.

The position requires experience with HRIS, Excel, and employee benefits administration, with a Monday–Friday schedule and on-site work in Midland, Texas.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• BS degree preferred.
• Five (5) or more years as a Benefits Coordinator or Analyst experience.
• Invoicing and payroll experience are preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with HRIS systems, including design, development, and testing.
• Demonstrated experience utilizing Microsoft Excel Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Customer service expert: telephone and email follow-up beyond compare.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administering and communicating Midland Health benefits programs.
• Monitor, research, and analyze current processes, trends, and compliance requirements.
• Maintain benefit files and HRIS records.
• Develop benefit communication materials for orientation and enrollment events.
• Guide employees with enrollments and claims processes (FMLA, Life, HSA, FSA, etc.).
• Respond to inquiries via walk-ins, phone, and email.
• Coordinate with vendors and perform data exports for audits.
• Prepare and maintain payroll deduction and vendor invoices.
• Assist with 403(b), 457(b), 401(k) and annual retirement audits.
• Provide training on benefits policy to managers and HR.
