Job summary

The Baldwin Group is seeking a Benefit Specialist to assist benefit clients’ employees with questions about benefits, claims advocacy, enrollment support, and communications via phone and email as Tier 1 ECC support. You will be the main point of contact for HR and small group accounts, handling enrollment and benefit administration with accuracy and empathy.

This role emphasizes timely, high-quality client service, collaboration with insurance partners, and adherence to carrier requirements.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of call center experience and/or experience working in Employee Benefits, with an emphasis on handling client issues
• Maintains a concern for timeliness and completeness when interacting with clients, firm and insurance company partners to minimize potential for errors and omissions claims
• Documents all activity in on-line client file to ensure quality and responsiveness

Responsibilities

• Documents all activity in on-line client file to ensure quality and responsiveness.
• Personally, provides prompt, efficient, high-quality service to designated small group accounts (less than 10 lives)
• Interacts with HR as main point of contact
• Processes benefit administration as needed
• Provides enrollment support.
• Provides daily (Tier 1) Employee Care Center Call Center Support for ECC accounts.
• Provides daily (Tier 1) Employee Care Center email support for ECC accounts.
• Provides escalated Claims Advocacy for clients.
• Cultivates strong relationships with insurance company partners.
• Is responsible for knowing carrier requirements and attributes
• Looks for opportunities to improve the firm, business segment and processes.
• Brings issues and discrepancies to the attention of appropriate leadership.
