Job summary

The Baldwin Group is seeking an Advisor, Employee Benefits to sell new accounts and renew existing ones, aligning with firm and individual goals. Advisors will build and maintain relationships with clients, prospects, the service team, and insurance partners while pursuing sales prospects.

Responsibilities include presenting proposals, finalizing sales, and developing prospects through community involvement and referrals.

Qualifications

• Licenses as required by the State Department of Insurance; obtain within the first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Presents proposals professionally, reviewing coverages in detail to ensure understanding.
• Communicates with clients, prospects, insurance company partners, and service team clearly and effectively.
• Finalizes the sale and collects necessary documents, applications, etc., and briefs the service team on the policy sale.
• Develops prospects by networking in community affiliations, attending partner seminars, and referrals from current accounts.
• Gathers information and recommendations for prospective accounts, presents proposals, and adheres to firm policies for new accounts.
• Maintains accuracy, timeliness and completion when interacting with clients, the Firm, and Insurance Company Partners to minimize errors.
• Understands and communicates industry underwriting criteria to clients and partners.
• Represents the firm positively in the community and with insurance company partners.
• Performs other functions as assigned by leadership.
• Identifies opportunities to improve the firm, business segment, and processes and brings issues to leadership.
