McGohan Brabender in Cincinnati seeks a Benefits Specialist to join our Account Management team. You will design, implement, and manage employee benefit programs that align with client objectives and meet workforce needs, collaborating with clients, carriers, and internal teams.

New hires begin in the Benefit Specialist Academy, a structured onboarding program with a dedicated trainer for the first three months.

Qualifications

• Self-starter who will take initiative in meeting client's needs.
• Exceptional communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Comfortable presenting in front of groups (once knowledge base is acquired).

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted partner to our clients, conduct needs assessments and offer exceptional customer service by responding to day-to-day service issues and scheduling client meetings.
• Ensure clients remain in compliance with rules and regulations, reviewing SBCs, Certificates, SPDs, 5500s, and Wrap Docs.
• Create, design, facilitate, and present materials for client meetings including open enrollment PowerPoints and related logistics.
• Manage relationships with insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and other benefit providers to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Oversee benefit enrollment, changes, and terminations, maintaining accurate records and addressing employee inquiries.
• Stay informed on benefits technology platforms and leverage Microsoft Office tools; follow renewal workflows in Salesforce.
• Assist with quoting by gathering census information and guiding clients through market reviews.
• Liaise between carrier and client during policy implementation and related administration.
