Job summary

Jonus Group is seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Account Manager to join its Client Experience team. You will serve as the primary contact for clients, managing renewals, open enrollment, and day-to-day benefits administration.

This hybrid role emphasizes delivering strategic solutions, maintaining compliance (ERISA/ ACA/ HIPAA), and collaborating with carriers and internal teams to drive client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Holds an active L&H license.
• 2–4 years in employee benefits account management or related role.
• Experience servicing mid-sized employer groups and managing multiple client relationships.
• Strong knowledge of group medical, dental, vision, life, and disability products.
• Familiarity with multi-carrier benefits programs, renewal processes, and open enrollment administration.
• Working knowledge of ERISA, ACA, and HIPAA.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication, client-focused.
• Proven ability to resolve complex service issues with carriers and clients.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary day-to-day contact for client HR teams on benefits.
• Resolve escalated claims and service issues with carriers/TPAs.
• Track and manage client requests with timely follow-ups.
• Analyze renewal options and advise on plan designs with Account Executives.
• Coordinate and lead open enrollment activities.
• Oversee benefit plan changes and carrier transitions.
• Assist clients with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA compliance.
• Support SPDs, Form 5500 filings, notices, and ACA reporting.
• Monitor regulatory developments and flag compliance concerns.
• Maintain accurate client records in management software.
• Analyze benefits data and prepare client review reports.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve service processes.
• Identify opportunities to enhance offerings and growth.
