Job summary

Core Brokers Insurance and Risk Management is seeking a Benefits Account Manager to oversee employee benefits accounts (health, dental, vision, life, disability) and ensure accurate administration and renewals. You will be the main client contact, respond to inquiries, coordinate with carriers, and prepare renewal presentations.

Based in Costa Mesa, CA, this on-site role requires collaboration with producers and internal teams to deliver high-quality service and maintain compliant account

Role Description

The Benefits Account Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Costa Mesa, CA. This position is responsible for managing employee benefits accounts, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability plans, and ensuring accurate administration and renewals. Day-to-day work includes serving as a primary point of contact for clients, responding to coverage and plan design inquiries, coordinating with carriers, preparing proposals and renewal presentations, and resolving claim or enrollment issues. The Benefits Account Manager will analyze benefits options, support open enrollment activities, maintain detailed account records, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company standards. This role collaborates closely with producers and internal teams to deliver consistent, high-quality service and strengthen long-term client relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience managing employee benefits accounts, including plan administration, renewals, and client service.
• Strong client relationship skills, with the ability to communicate complex benefits information clearly and professionally.
• Proficiency with benefits technology platforms Employee Navigator, Ease, carrier portals, and common office software (e.g., Excel, Word, CRM systems).
• Knowledge of group health and welfare benefits, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners in an on-site office environment.
• Prior experience in insurance brokerage, benefits administration, or HR benefits coordination is preferred.
• Relevant professional licensing or certifications (such as a health and life insurance license) are advantageous.
• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is beneficial.
