Job summary

This position is considered fully remote; however, qualified candidates must be licensed and live in Kentucky due to in-person meetings with health insurance brokers. Our teams collaborate using video and screen sharing technology, which means you'll feel like you’re part of the team while also enjoying the convenience of working from home.

This role involves managing relationships with assigned broker firms and growing broker headcount by effectively presenting our value proposition. BSEs develop a deep understanding of their broker firms and books of business to leverage BenefitMall capabilities for revenue growth.

REQUIRED RESPONSIBILITIES

Below is a summary of the key functions for this role. Other duties, both major and minor, may be performed, and activities may change over time.

  • Recruit and train new agents for BenefitMall by promoting our unique experience and trusted relationships, supported by industry-leading technology solutions.
  • Collaborate with agents/brokers to develop revenue growth strategies focusing on increased sales, expanded product offerings, and better understanding of BenefitMall’s services.
  • Work effectively within a team sales environment, coordinating sales and retention activities to ensure a smooth and trusted benefits selling experience.
  • Lead POD to serve agents/brokers’ business, encouraging growth by educating and training on carrier procedures, product options, and value propositions. Host strategy calls to discuss priorities, quotes, renewals, and schedules. Use internal systems like Salesforce and Zoom for activity tracking.
  • Market to agents/brokers and motivate them to place clients’ business with us by coordinating sales activities, providing expert advice, and developing targeted strategies to promote technology adoption and secure data transfer.
  • Coordinate with partner carrier resources as needed to optimize results.
  • Maintain confidentiality standards for all information.
  • Physical requirements include sitting, speaking, hearing, and occasionally standing, walking, bending, crawling, kneeling, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Resolve conflicts, solve problems, and provide feedback to management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    The following are the essential qualifications. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities.

    • Active Life & Health License is required.
    • At least 3 years’ experience in a related health insurance or employee benefits sales role.
    • Deep knowledge of group insurance products, preferably gained through experience with an insurance carrier or broker.

    Available benefits for eligible TIH employees include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, accidental death and dismemberment, tax-advantaged savings accounts, and voluntary benefits. Regular employees working 20+ hours per week are eligible for these benefits, with specifics determined by TIH. Benefits also include a 401(k) plan with company matching after one year of service and reaching age 21, at least 10 days of vacation, 10 sick days, and paid holidays.
