Job summary

The Family Support Division of the State of Missouri is seeking a Benefit Program Technician for the Ray County/Richmond Resource Center in Richmond, MO. You will help Missouri citizens receive food, medical, financial, and nutritional assistance to live safe, healthy, and productive lives.

Daily duties include determining initial and continuing eligibility, interviewing clients, and preparing summaries, with emphasis on compassionate, non-judgmental service.

Qualifications

• Minimum required: High School diploma or equivalent and at least four years of customer service experience, or a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Personable, compassionate, and non-judgmental attitude are important for success.

The Family Support Division is seeking applications for a Benefit Program Technician. This position will be in the Ray County/Richmond Resource Center based at 901 E Lexington St, Richmond, MO.

As our Benefit Program Technician you will help Missouri citizens to receive food, medical, financial and nutritional assistance so they can live safe, healthy and productive lives.

Every day you will determine initial and continuing eligibility of Missouri citizens for these services, interview clients in person and by telephone, prepare summaries and much more.

In order to succeed in this role, you must have a High School diploma or equivalent and at least four years of customer service experience OR have a Bachelor’s Degree.

To thrive in this role, you must be personable, compassionate and have a non-judgmental attitude.

Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.

Individual(s) selected for this position may receive a higher rate based on a pay differential (e.g. shift, or time-of-service pay).
