Job summary

State of Missouri's Family Support Division seeks a Benefit Program Technician for the Pettis County/Sedalia Resource Center in Sedalia, MO. You will determine initial and continuing eligibility for food, medical, financial and nutritional assistance and interview clients in person and by phone.

Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent with four years of customer service or a Bachelor's degree. You should be personable and nonjudgmental.

Job description

The Family Support Division is seeking applications for a Benefit Program Technician. This position will be in the Pettis County/Sedalia Resource Center based at 808 Westwood, Sedalia, MO.

As our Benefit Program Technician you will help Missouri citizens to receive food, medical, financial and nutritional assistance so they can live safe, healthy and productive lives.

Every day you will determine initial and continuing eligibility of Missouri citizens for these services, interview clients in person and by telephone, prepare summaries and much more.

In order to succeed in this role, you must have a High School diploma or equivalent and at least four years of customer service experience OR have a Bachelor’s Degree.

To thrive in this role, you must be personable, compassionate and have a non-judgmental attitude.

Lack of post‑secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.

Individual(s) selected for this position may receive a higher rate based on a pay differential (e.g. shift, or time‑of‑service pay).
