Job summary

State of Missouri seeks a Benefit Program Associate for the St. Louis County/South Lindbergh Resource Center at 7545 South Lindbergh, St. Louis, MO. You will assist customers, process verifications, register applications, and manage filing and record-keeping duties within the Family Support Division.

Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years of relevant experience. Substitutions may be allowed. A higher rate may apply based on pay differential.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with customers to answer questions about their situation.
  • Work directly with customers to enter verifications/changes on their cases.
  • Monitor local drop boxes and scan/index documentation appropriately.
  • Register applications dropped off at their location.
  • Register applications through the FSD Docs and other Queues.
  • Direct local customers to the correct next step in their process.
  • Type, utilizing a computer keyboard and word processing software, and edit a variety of material.
  • Maintain, with relative independence, a significant phase or segment of a clerical process or office activity and make frequent decisions in accordance with agency policies, rules or procedures.
  • Review documents for accuracy, completeness and compliance.
  • Compose correspondence involving some interpretation and application of established policies and procedures; maintain correspondence, case and report files.
  • Establish and maintain complex filing systems; prepare and/or oversee the preparation of records for storage and/or archiving.
  • Perform, review, and verify complex computations involving the application of rules and regulations.
  • Enter, update, and/or retrieve information in automated systems; develop spreadsheets and databases; utilize various software packages in the performance of duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The Family Support Division is seeking applications for the position of Benefit Program Associate in the St. Louis County/South Lindbergh Resource Center located at 7545 South Lindbergh, St. Louis, MO.

  • Work directly with customers to enter verifications/changes on their cases;

  • Maintain, with relative independence, a significant phase or segment of a clerical process or office activity and make frequent decisions in accordance with agency policies, rules or procedures.

  • Compose correspondence involving some interpretation and application of established policies and procedures; maintain correspondence, case and report files.
