Job summary

The State of Missouri is seeking a Benefit Program Technician to support the Lebanon Customer Service Center in Lebanon, MO. You will determine eligibility for food, medical, financial, and nutritional assistance and interview clients in person or by phone.

Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent with four years of customer service experience or a Bachelor’s Degree. Candidates should be personable, compassionate, and non-judgmental; education is valued beyond minimum

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and at least four years of customer service experience OR a Bachelor's Degree.
• Personable, compassionate and non-judgmental attitude.
• Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration.

Responsibilities

• Determine initial and continuing eligibility for food, medical, financial and nutritional assistance.
• Interview clients in person and by telephone.
• Prepare summaries and related documentation.
