Job summary

Scientific Games, a global leader in lottery and gaming technology, seeks a Bench Technician to service and repair company products at a repair site. You will diagnose failures, perform maintenance, testing, calibration, and document repair data daily, coordinating with field technicians as needed.

Responsibilities include ensuring repaired equipment is reliable, applying upgrades, and handling sub-assemblies and inventory control.

Qualifications

  • An understanding of and some experience with troubleshooting computer software and hardware technologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills, with proven technical and customer satisfaction skills.
  • Promptly respond to customer/management requests and feedback.
  • Proven self-starter with motivation and ability.
  • Great organization and time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently and promptly.
  • Strong judgement and problem solving skills to determine most cost effective repair/resolution to minimize customer downtime.
  • Ability to prepare and analyze reports to identify product failure trends and service ability issues.
  • Ability to lift, install and move large self-service equipment (Occasionally up to 50 pounds).
  • Pass background check and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Performs repairs and preventive maintenance tasks on the terminal.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all equipment repaired at the bench is reliable and upgrades are completed.
  • Some sub assemblies are repaired locally while others are sent to repair depots.
  • Performs administrative duties such as organizing and controlling inventory, documentation, tools, and test equipment.
  • Prioritizes workload to ensure terminals for field personnel.
  • Ships defective boards and maintains repair data in the database daily.
