Bench Technician

Scientific Games is a global leader in lottery games, sports betting and technology.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hardware, software, and systems failures.
• Perform maintenance, testing and calibration of repaired products, as well as inventory tracking.
• General warehouse duties, including inventory, shipping, and forklift operation, may also be a portion of the work.
• Oral and written communication, as well as hands‑on work with field‑based technicians for details regarding diagnostics or repairs.
• Assist in development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist in the training of new and existing team members.
• Assist with the creation of presentations/reports regarding bench and equipment activities, issues, and performance.
• Some travel to customer locations for on‑site work is possible.
• Performs these functions and all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Understanding of and experience with troubleshooting computer software and hardware technologies.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Promptly respond to customer or leadership requests and feedback.
• Proven self‑starter with motivation and ability.
• Organization and time‑management skills that enable effective multitasking.
• Strong judgment and problem‑solving skills to determine the most cost-effective repair or resolution.
• Available to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift, install and move large self‑service equipment (regularly lift or move 35 pounds or more).
• Able to travel overnight if needed.
• Ability to drive a non‑CDL delivery truck.
• Pass background check, DOT certification and drug test.
• Have a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements

The position requires regularly sitting, standing, walking, bending, using hands for operation, and operating a computer. Ability to lift or move 35 pounds or more is required.
