Job summary

Computer Rescue 911 in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Bench Technician to join our hands-on IT team. You will handle virus removal, hardware diagnostics, Windows and Apple device troubleshooting, and advanced software diagnostics while supporting 30+ computers daily.

The role includes on-site work, Apple certification focus (ACMT) and potential training, plus light off-site residential appointments. We value reliable, motivated individuals with clean driving records and a willingness to grow with

Qualifications

• College Degree preferred but not required.
• ACMT certification encouraged and iOS certified for iPhone/iPad (training provided).
• Motivated, reliable, and trustworthy.
• Must be fully qualified to perform listed technical tasks (no training offered apart from Apple Certifications).
• Willingness to learn and adapt to unfamiliar areas.
• No criminal history; clean driving record and ability to pass drug screening.

Job Description & Experience Requirements:

Computer Rescue 911 seeks a Bench Technician who has proven themselves in the IT field by having impressive customer relations skills and above average IT abilities. Daily tasks include:

• Virus removal
• Computer hardware diagnostics & replacement
• Windows troubleshooting
• iPhone, iPad & Apple hardware and software troubleshooting
• Advanced software diagnostics
• Outlook and email setup/configuration
• Sales (Service & Product)
• Adapting to a wide variety of scenarios and issues as it relates to computers
• Also responsible for some residential computer appointments off-site.

Additional Required Skills & Abilities:

• College Degree (Preferred but not required)
• The technician would become an Apple Certified Mac Technician (ACMT) and would need to be proficient with Apple hardware/software (Training provided) & iOS certified for iPhone & iPad
• Motivated, reliable, and trustworthy
• Need to be fully qualified to perform technical tasks listed above (No technical training offered other than Apple Certifications)
• Motivated to learn and adapt to areas you may be unfamiliar with
• No criminal history
• Good driving record & ability to pass drug screening

Working directly with our team of technicians, you will be responsible for the technical bench and helping to oversee 30+ computers per day. Growing, developing, and creating strategies of growth and customer loyalty through communication and organization as well as processes.
