Job summary

Fairmont Austin is seeking a Bellperson to warmly welcome guests, assist with luggage, and provide a personal room orientation in a luxury environment.

Proficiency in English, customer service experience, and a flexible schedule are required to thrive in our fast-paced hotel. You’ll join Heartist teammates focused on exceptional guest experiences and teamwork in Downtown Austin.

Qualifications

• Proficient in English (verbal & written).
• Prior experience in customer service an asset.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings, overnight, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Timely delivery of guests’ luggage, messages and any other items for delivery within the property.
• Ensure that all long-term Guest luggage is stored correctly and logged in the correct manner.
• Personalize guests’ orientation of their room in a professional, friendly and engaging way.
• Maintain presence in the lobby as an ambassador of the property and brand, offering exceptional service to the guests.
• Be aware of all functions that are taking place in the hotel and to direct guests to the correct destination.
• Delivery of guest amenities i.e. rollaway beds, microwaves, refrigerators etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

Always lending a helping hand with a smile. As a Bellperson, your passion for the property, and your respect for our guests’ belongings will ensure that our guests feel welcomed as soon as they arrive.
