Job summary

Fairmont Austin is seeking a Bellperson to warmly welcome guests and assist with luggage and room orientations at our luxury property in downtown Austin. You will help ensure guests feel cared for from arrival, maintaining a helpful presence in the lobby and supporting the guest experience.

Ideal candidates communicate clearly in English, enjoy teamwork, and are flexible with schedules including evenings and weekends, with a focus on delivering exceptional hospitality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in English (verbal & written).
• Prior experience in customer service is an asset.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work cohesively with colleagues as part of a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, overnight, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Timely delivery of guests’ luggage, messages and any other items for delivery within the property.
• Ensure that all long-term Guest luggage is stored correctly and logged in the correct manner.
• Personalize guests’ orientation of their room in a professional, friendly and engaging way.
• Maintain presence in the lobby as an ambassador of the property and brand, offering exceptional service to the guests.
• Be aware of all functions that are taking place in the hotel and to direct guests to the correct destination.
• Delivery of guest amenities i.e. rollaway beds, microwaves, refrigerators etc.
• Other duties as assigned
