Job summary

Fairmont Austin, the city’s largest luxury property, is seeking a friendly Bellperson to welcome guests and assist with luggage, amenities, and directions. You will be a brand ambassador in the lobby, help guests navigate hotel functions, and ensure belongings are handled with care.

Ideal candidates will be proficient in English, customer-service oriented, and able to work evenings, overtime, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in English (verbal & written).
• Prior experience in customer service is an asset.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, overnight, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Timely delivery of guests’ luggage, messages and any other items for delivery within the property.
• Ensure that all long-term Guest luggage is stored correctly and logged properly.
• Personalize guests’ orientation of their room in a professional, friendly and engaging way.
• Maintain presence in the lobby as an ambassador of the property and brand, offering exceptional service to the guests.
• Be aware of all functions that are taking place in the hotel and direct guests to the correct destination.
• Delivery of guest amenities such as rollaway beds, microwaves, refrigerators, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

Always lending a helping hand with a smile. As a Bellperson, your passion for the property, and your respect for our guests’ belongings will ensure that our guests feel welcomed as soon as they arrive.

• Timely delivery of guests’ luggage, messages and any other items for delivery within the property
• Ensure that all long-term Guest luggage is stored correctly and logged in the correct manner
• Personalize guests’ orientation of their room in a professional, friendly and engaging way

• Be aware of all functions that are taking place in the hotel and to direct guests to the correct destination
