Job summary

Fairmont Austin invites you to join our team as a server in a fast-paced food and beverage environment. You will deliver exceptional guest service in a luxury setting and contribute to memorable dining experiences in the heart of downtown Austin.

Reporting to the Venue Manager, you will greet guests, explain menu items, assist with service in outlets, and uphold our high hospitality standards while working with a dynamic team at Fairmont Austin.

Qualifications

• Previous service experience an asset.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with a courteous demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Offer a professional, friendly greeting and engaging service.
• Understand the Server's tasks in the outlet.
• Understand shift end reports in the outlet and the POS system.
• Advise guests on menu items in an informative way.
• Maintain knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and prep methods.
• Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards.
• Follow safety and sanitation policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Reporting to the Venue Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Responsibilities

• Consistently offer a professional, friendly greeting and engaging service
• Understand the Server’s tasks in the outlet
• Understand shift end reports in the outlet and the POS system
• Assist guests regarding food and beverage menu items in an informative and helpful way
• Have knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
• Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
• Other duties as assigned
