Job summary

Hyatt Vacation Club at The Welk is seeking a Bellstand Attendant to greet guests, escort them to rooms, and ensure a smooth arrival experience at our Escondido property.

This part-time role supports Owners and guests with luggage, provides information on local amenities, and upholds Hyatt standards for safety and guest care. Weekend and holiday availability and a valid driver’s license are required.

Responsibilities

• Greets and escorts guests to their rooms.
• Opens doors and assists guests entering and leaving the property.
• Informs guests of amenities, hours of operation, and local areas of interest.
• Transports guest luggage to and from the villa/guest room and bell area.
• Assists with luggage storage and retrieval and with loading/unloading luggage.
• Maintain guest safety and uphold company standards.

As a Bellstand Attendant, a typical day will include:

• Greets and escort guests to their rooms.

• Opens doors and assists Owners/guests/visitors entering and leaving the property.

• Informs guests of property amenities, services, hours of operation, and local areas of interest and activities.

• Transports guest luggage to and from the villa/guest room and/or designated bell area.

• Assists with luggage storage and retrieval.

• Assists Owners/guests/visitors in and out of vehicles, including assisting with loading/unloading luggage.

Guest Experience and Company Standards

• Welcome and greet guests and anticipate and address their needs.

• Interact with colleagues and guests professionally and promptly.

• Contribute to team goals.

• Always follow company policies and safety procedures.

To Become a Bellstand Attendant at HVC:

• Available to work various shifts, holidays, and both weekend days.

• Reach overhead and below the knees, perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, and be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.

• Lift/Carry/Push/Pull Items that Weigh up to 50lbs without assistance.

• Position may require background and drug screening contingent on company policy in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
