Job summary

University of Michigan’s Division of Public Safety and Security seeks a Security Intelligence Analyst focused on behavioral threat assessment to support BTAM and campus safety initiatives. You will collect, analyze, and disseminate intelligence to guide threat management with a focus on behavior-based risk indications.

Work with diverse stakeholders across campus, mental health, HR, and law enforcement to identify concerning behaviors early and implement intervention strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience in a related field.
• Minimum 3 years in behavioral threat assessment, investigations, intelligence analysis, or related security fields.
• Experience with multidisciplinary teamwork and information sharing across stakeholders.
• Familiarity with online info sources (social media, open-source) and intelligence software.

Responsibilities

• Perform behavioral threat analysis by collecting and evaluating data from multiple sources.
• Support Threat Assessment Team leadership and multidisciplinary investigations.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies to reduce threats.
• Prepare intelligence reports and threat assessments for campus safety measures.
• Liaise with internal and external partners to share critical information.
• Support BTAM program case work and adherence to policies.
