Job summary

The University of Southern California is seeking a Director of Threat Assessment & Management to lead behavioral threat assessment and management across the Health Sciences Campus and affiliated clinical environments. This onsite role requires discretion, professionalism, and crisis response capabilities to protect the USC community.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of progressive professional experience in threat assessment and management.
• Experience conducting threat assessments and developing threat-management strategies with multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience coordinating and implementing violence-prevention programs and policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level consultation and support for identification, assessment and management of threats and concerning behaviors.
• Receive, review, triage reports of threats and other indicators of potential targeted violence.
• Develop and coordinate individualized threat-management plans with protective measures and escalation criteria.
• Lead multidisciplinary threat assessment meetings and coordinate case management activities.
• Deliver training on threat assessment, workplace violence prevention and relevant policies.
