Job summary

Asteri Behavioral Treatment Center in Carson, CA is seeking compassionate Behavior Technicians to work one‑on‑one with children at home, delivering ABA therapy under BCBA supervision. No ABA experience? Paid training and mentorship are provided, with strong clinical support to help you grow.

Qualifications

• Available a minimum of 15 hours per week.
• Afternoon/evening availability between 1:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
• Reliable vehicle, driver's license, insurance, and registration.
• Willing to travel up to 25 miles from home for sessions.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one ABA therapy in clients' homes.
• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA.
• Teach communication, social, play, self-help, and daily living skills.

As a Behavior Technician, you'll work one‑on‑one with children diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities, helping them develop communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), one of the most effective evidence‑based therapies available.

No ABA experience? No problem. We offer comprehensive paid training and ongoing guidance from experienced Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to support your success.

What is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence‑based approach that helps children with autism and other developmental disabilities learn meaningful skills that support greater independence in their everyday lives.

Through personalized, engaging sessions, Behavior Technicians work one‑on‑one with children to strengthen communication, social, play, coping, and daily living skills. Using positive reinforcement and individualized strategies, they also help children develop safer and more effective ways to navigate challenging behaviors.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor's degree preferred)
• Experience working with children is a plus, but not required
