Asteri Behavioral Treatment Center in Montebello, CA is hiring Behavior Technicians to provide one-on-one ABA therapy in clients' homes, implementing plans set by a BCBA, and helping children develop essential communication and daily living skills.

No ABA experience is required; we provide paid training, clinical supervision, and ongoing support to build skills and confidence. Flexible afternoon/evening hours and travel within 25 miles are typical for this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience working with children is a plus, but not required.
• Available a minimum of 15 hours per week.
• Afternoon/evening availability between 1:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance and registration.
• Willing to travel up to 25 miles from home for client sessions.
• Strong communication, professionalism, and organizational skills.
• Comfortable learning data collection and behavior intervention techniques.

Responsibilities

As a Behavior Technician, you'll work one‑on‑one with children diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities, helping them develop communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), one of the most effective evidence‑based therapies available.

No ABA experience? No problem. No prior ABA experience is required! We offer comprehensive paid training, hands‑on guidance, and ongoing support from experienced Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to help you build your skills and feel confident in your role.

What is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence‑based approach that helps children with autism and other developmental disabilities learn meaningful skills that support greater independence in their everyday lives.

Through personalized, engaging sessions, Behavior Technicians work one‑on‑one with children to strengthen communication, social, play, coping, and daily living skills. Using positive reinforcement and individualized strategies, they also help children develop safer and more effective ways to navigate challenging behaviors.

What You’ll Do
