Job summary

Asteri Behavioral Treatment Center in Huntington Park, CA is hiring Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children in-home, delivering Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. This role offers paid training, mentorship, and clinical support from Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).

No ABA experience is required upfront; comprehensive paid training and ongoing support help you build skills and confidence in your role while making a meaningful impact on children's lives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor's degree preferred).
• Available a minimum of 15 hours per week.
• Excellent communication, professionalism, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one ABA therapy in clients' homes.
• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA.
• Teach communication, social, play, self-help, and daily living skills.
• Help reduce challenging behaviors using positive strategies.
• Collect accurate session data and complete clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with supervising clinicians to support client progress.

As a Behavior Technician, you'll work one-on-one with children diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities, helping them develop communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), one of the most effective evidence-based therapies available.

No ABA experience? No problem.

No prior ABA experience is required! We offer comprehensive paid training, hands‑on guidance, and ongoing support from experienced Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to help you build your skills and feel confident in your role.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based therapy that helps children with autism and other developmental disabilities build important life skills. What You'll Do

As a Behavior Technician, you will:

Typical Sessions:

• 2-5 hours per session
• Children primarily ages 3-17 years
• Afternoon and evening schedules

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor's degree preferred)
• Experience working with children is a plus, but not required
• Available a minimum of 15 hours per week
• Afternoon/evening availability between 1:00 PM and 8:00 PM
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance and registration
• Willing to travel up to 25 miles from your home for client sessions
• Strong communication, professionalism, and organizational skills
• Comfortable learning data collection and behavior intervention techniques
