Job summary

Glen Ridge School District seeks a Behavioral Support Instructor and Interventionist (Special Education, 3–12) to enhance SEL development and behavior supports. The role involves direct instruction, data collection, and collaboration with an MTSS team to implement BIPs aligned with IEP goals.

The position emphasizes Tier II/III supports, coaching teachers, and ensuring smooth transitions for students with behavioral challenges within the high school setting.

Qualifications

• New Jersey Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD), Teacher of the Handicapped, or other NJ instructional certificate with special education experience
• Bachelor's Degree required
• Master's degree preferred in Special Education, ABA, School Psychology, Curriculum & Instruction or related field
• Experience with MTSS/behavioral supports and data-based decision making

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction focused on self-regulation, executive functioning, social/emotional skills, and academics
• Collaborate with Child Study Team and administrators on FBAs and BIPs
• Support MTSS teams and district initiatives related to behavior supports and attendance
• Coach teachers on positive behavior supports and restorative practices
• Participate in IEP meetings and school-wide SEL initiatives
