Monarch Healthcare seeks a Behavioral Specialist to support individuals with mental health diagnoses and developmental disabilities in North Carolina. You will assist clients in pursuing personal goals, promote self‑determination, and facilitate participation in community activities.

The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. A high school diploma and driver’s license are required; travel may be involved and ongoing training is provided.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma required.
• Valid US Driver's license required.

Aufgaben

• Assess people’s hopes and goals and provide supports to achieve them.
• Assist people in participating in community activities aligned with their interests.
• Protect and promote the rights of people receiving services; develop advocacy skills.
• Provide emotional, physical, and social support as needed.
• Foster person-centered relationships and promote self‑determination.
• Input into assessment and planning; help develop and implement individual plans.
• Complete required documentation: goals, incidents, timesheets, etc.
• Assist with daily living tasks: housekeeping, meals, laundry, shopping, etc.
• Drive and travel as required; arrange transportation.
• Ensure safety procedures and emergency procedures are understood.
• Connect people with community resources and services.
• Mentor and train new staff; participate in meetings and trainings.
• Follow agency policies and state/federal regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
