Job summary

Eliot Community Human Services, Inc. in Lynn, MA is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Specialist I to join the Adult Community Clinical Service (ACCS) team.

You will provide interventions to adults with severe mental illness within residential or community settings, supporting recovery and personalized goals. The role emphasizes culturally competent care, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and on-going assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
• Experience working with adults with mental illness.

Responsibilities

• Provide interventions to clients that focus on problem solving, modeling behavior, optimism and encouragement.
• Assist the team in providing on-going assessments of client symptoms and their responses to staff interventions.
• Support clients in their desire for recovery and rehabilitation in the development of their goals.
• Ensure that services provided are culturally competent, strengths based, and focused on rehabilitation and are inclusive of client preferences.
• Provide assistance to clients related to transportation to work sites, daily activities, and appointments
