Job summary

Eliot Community Human Services in Massachusetts is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Specialist I to join our ACCS team, delivering evidence-based interventions to adults with severe and persistent mental illness. You will work within a multidisciplinary team in residential or community settings to support recovery and rehabilitation.

This role emphasizes culturally competent, person-centered care and requires collaboration with colleagues to assess client progress, address barriers, and help

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
• Experience working with adults with mental illness.

Responsibilities

• Provide interventions to clients that focus on problem solving, modeling behavior, optimism and encouragement.
• Assist the team in providing on-going assessments of client symptoms and their responses to staff interventions.
• Support clients in their desire for recovery and rehabilitation in the development of their goals.
• Ensure that services provided are culturally competent, strengths based, and focused on rehabilitation and are inclusive of client preferences.
• Provide assistance to clients related to transportation to work sites, daily activities, and appointments.

Education
