Job summary

Eliot Community Human Services in Malden, MA seeks a compassionate Behavioral Specialist I to join the Adult Community Clinical Service (ACCS) team. You will deliver evidence-based interventions to adults with severe mental illness in residential or community settings.

The role supports recovery goals, ensures culturally competent care, and facilitates transportation and daily activities for clients. Schedule includes Sundays and weekdays with a fixed hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field is required.
• Experience working with adults with mental illness is required.
• Valid Massachusetts driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide interventions focusing on problem solving, modeling behavior, optimism and encouragement.
• Assist team with ongoing assessments of client symptoms and responses to staff interventions.
• Support clients in their desire for recovery and rehabilitation in the development of their goals.
• Ensure that services provided are culturally competent, strengths based, and focused on rehabilitation and are inclusive of client preferences.
• Provide assistance to clients related to transportation to work sites, daily activities, and appointments.

Eliot is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Specialist I to join our dynamic Adult Community Clinical Service (ACCS) team. ACCS provides clinically focused evidenced based interventions to adults with severe and persistent mental illness. Services are person centered and are delivered by a multidisciplinary team of professionals in either residential or community based settings. In this role, you will provide support and guidance to adults facing severe and persistent mental health challenges.

Responsibilities:
