Job summary

Eliot Community Human Services, Inc. seeks a compassionate Behavioral Specialist I to join the Adult Community Clinical Service (ACCS) team.

You will deliver evidence-based interventions to adults with severe mental illness in residential or community settings, supporting recovery goals and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include problem-solving interventions, ongoing symptom assessments, and ensuring culturally competent, strengths-based care tailored to client

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
• Experience working with adults with mental illness.

Responsibilities

• Provide interventions to clients that focus on problem solving, modeling behavior, optimism and encouragement.
• Assist the team in providing on-going assessments of client symptoms and their responses to staff interventions.
• Support clients in their desire for recovery and rehabilitation in the development of their goals.
• Ensure that services provided are culturally competent, strengths based, and focused on rehabilitation and are inclusive of client preferences.
• Provide assistance to clients related to transportation to work sites, daily activities, and appointments.
