Job summary

Monarch Healthcare is seeking a Behavioral Specialist to support individuals in achieving personal goals. Schedule includes Monday–Wednesday, 12:00 PM–5:00 PM, with a weekly total of 15 hours. A high school diploma is required, and a valid US driver’s license is preferred for transportation duties.

Responsibilities include assessing needs, facilitating community participation, safeguarding rights, and assisting with advocacy, documentation, and daily living tasks across residential settings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Experience with individuals with mental health diagnoses or developmental disabilities or substance use disorders is noted but not always required.

Responsibilities

• Assess each person’s hopes, dreams, and desires and provide supports to help achieve them.
• Assist people in participating in their community according to their interests.
• Protect and promote the rights of individuals receiving services.
• Develop advocacy skills and utilize personal advocates.
• Provide emotional, physical, and social support as needed.
• Foster person-centered, positive relationships and self-determination.
• Implement individual plans and document requirements.
• Complete required progress notes and logs for appointments, goals and interests.
