Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Research Coordinator II to support a national study on barriers and facilitators to PrEP uptake among women, with focus on engagement, adherence and real-world clinical implementation.

The role involves coordinating recruitment, data collection, regulatory submissions, and collaboration with clinical and community partners to ensure rigorous study execution and ethical conduct.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and one year of research experience required.
• Combination of education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of the degree if directly related to the duties.
• Proficient organizational skills with ability to manage multiple studies.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient knowledge of FDA, HSR, and GCP Guidelines.
• Prior HIV prevention experience preferred.
• Proficient analytical skills for quantitative and qualitative methods.
• Leadership potential and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinic engagement, participant recruitment and follow-up; conduct surveys and interviews.
• Manage research projects including start-up, coordination, monitoring and close-out.
• Maintain adherence to study protocols and regulatory standards.
• Prepare and maintain regulatory documents and submissions to agencies.
• Maintain study documentation such as regulatory binders and correspondence.
• Coordinate behavioral research activities across departments and track grant deadlines.
• Recruit eligible subjects, manage informed consent, coordinate reimbursements, and liaise with participants.
• Arrange and conduct research visits and deliver behavioral interventions.
• Abstract and enter data from medical records; conduct statistical analyses under PI supervision.
• Perform QA/QC checks to ensure data integrity.
• Attend meetings and contribute to presentations and publications.
• Other duties as assigned.
