Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to coordinate and manage clinical research activities with moderate supervision.

The role balances patient-facing responsibilities with administrative data tasks across diverse research programs. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of research experience, with strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, and knowledge of FDA, HSR, and GCP guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and one year research experience required.
• Combination of education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of the degree when related to duties.

• Proficient knowledge of FDA, HSR, and GCP Guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and manages initiation and regulatory compliance of clinical research studies, including documents for IRB and sponsor review, and cross-department coordination.
• Manages study documents, regulatory binders, source documents, and correspondence with adherence to protocols.
• Oversees all clinical research visits: arranging, initiating, monitoring, and close-out visits.
• Collects specimens, records data on source documents, and assists QA/QC to ensure data accuracy and protocol compliance.
• Engages participants throughout trials: identify eligible subjects, obtain informed consent, coordinate reimbursement, and answer inquiries.
• Manages supplies and equipment inventory, including lab kits and requisitions.
• Tracks deadlines for grants and deliverables.
• Prepares abstracted data and develops data dictionaries for accessibility.
• Participates in investigator meetings and supports ethical conduct of research.
