Job summary

The AMP Lab at Lurie Children's Hospital is seeking a Behavioral Research Coordinator I to join NIH-funded studies that support heart health across generations—from mothers to teens. You will own projects, including video-based sessions, surveys, and EHR data integration, with autonomy and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities span start-up, protocol coordination, recruitment, data abstraction into REDCap, and communicating with participants and their families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; combination of education and/or experience may be considered if directly related.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of FDA, HSR, and GCP guidelines.
• Analytical mindset with ability to adapt to different systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with behavioral research projects, including start-up, protocol coordination, and close-out activities.
• Ensure adherence to study protocols and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with departments to implement research projects effectively.
• Support development, implementation, and tracking of studies with minimal supervision.
• Prepare protocols, informed consents, recruitment materials, and maintain study documentation.
• Identify and recruit eligible participants; guide consent/assent process.
• Deliver behavioral interventions and arrange study visits; provide instructions to participants and families.
• Abstract data from medical records and enter into REDCap; prepare data for analysis.
• Create/update research forms and assist with participant reimbursements.
• Conduct literature searches, assist QA/QC, and track grants and deliverables.
• Promote ethical conduct by participating in educational meetings/conferences.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
